HatcheryMatch project partners University of Malta – Department of Food Sciences and Nutrition are currently seeking a full or part time Research Support Officer for contributions towards the HatcheryMatch project. The successful candidate will assist researchers Professor Vasilis Valdramidis and Dr. Jefferson de Oliveira Mallia in the development and design of an ultrasound disinfection device to improve water quality in recirculating fish hatchery systems. Specific tasks include aquaculture pathogen research and identification, protein analysis and chemical characterization of water samples, preparation of reports and deliverables to document project progression, and authorship of scientific articles.
Applicants must be holders of at minimum a bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, or chemistry. Those with master’s degrees are especially encouraged to apply.
Candidates must submit a cover letter, CV, contact details of at least two references, and copies (in English) of degree certificates to University of Malta’s system no later than Monday, 29th November 2021.
